I am remedying my lack of posts of artworks from my ASOC Portrait and Life Workgroup with an assortment of pictures from the last three sessions.
I have moved over to using acrylics instead of gouache for the 40 minute sittings. This is because gouache is too unforgiving when I want to finish off works after the session. After a false start using structure acrylics I have picked up some Flow ones and they appear to allow me to work in the fresh, quick manner offered by gouache.
After a long absence Ewa returned to model for us this week. Here's an acrylic painting from one of the long poses, plus two charcoals from the short poses.
Here's an acrylic of a new model, Julian, plus a 5 minute sketch on newsprint.
