Summer art experience 2019
The first two days of ASOC's Summer Art Experience have been great. I have found Pauline Adair's figure painting and drawing work group to be both inspiring and challenging. While this is the fourth time I have been in this group there is still room for new approaches.
One exercise on day one involved quick drawings from close cropped images on photographs. For this exercise we were supposed to focus on shapes rather than the whole figure. This was fun and also included some upside down drawings. Here's some examples (all charcoal on butchers paper):
Here are three 2 minute warm up sketches from day one. All charcoal on butchers paper.
