I was very saddened to hear that Kevin had passed away last week.

Kevin sat for the ASOC Portrait and Life Workgroup on several occasions between 2021 and 2025. He often brought an array of hats to wear during poses.

Here is a selection of some of my favourite works. Two depict Kevin wearing a Greek fisherman's cap, one from September 2023 and the other from March 2025. Both were 40 minute poses and were done on portions of old Admiralty naval charts.

When Kevin told me last year about the return of his inoperable cancer, I told him how he often took up a pugilistic stance when modelling and that I always thought of him as a bit of a fighter. Here are two sketches of such poses.
