Lively gouache

A return visit by Michael as our model at this week's Portrait and Life drawing work group. After the preliminary charcoal sketches for the short poses I again used my gouaches to produce livelier pictures for the long poses.

I am happy with the gouache of this horizontal pose - gouache on water colour paper 50 cm by 70 cm, plus a very quick charcoal on newsprint preliminary sketch which has its own vivacity (86 cm by 60 cm).

Here are two gouaches from the other longer poses, Michael seated on a red chair. Both gouache on water colour paper, 50 cm by 70 cm.
