Max, a Canberra based choreographer and dancer, was our model this week. Max is new to our workgroup but has a lot of experience as a model. We were delighted with the wonderful poses he struck for us.
Here's a couple of my paintings from the 40 minute poses.

I am pleased with how my alla prima (wet on wet) approach worked for rendering the butterfly motif on the sheet covering the dreaded Studio D arm chair.

This pose was a tangle of hands and feet, so naturally I went overboard on expressive style. Max acrylic on coloured oil sketch paper (46 cm by 43 cm). This one had a bit of reworking at home.
We had some great poses for the five minute sketches, Here's a couple of charcoal on newsprint sketches (81cm by 61cm).
