Another journey

I have added another journey of a palimpsest.

This time it's an oil pastel done in 2003, based on a drawing of a model at a painting class at the ANU School of Art evening classes.

In early 2018 I started experimented with some of these old drawings by adding patterns and clothing to the original picture. This often meant scraping the old surface back with a palette knife, adding new layers of oil pastel and spreading and smudging with artists medium number 4 before adding more oil pastel.

Here is one of the first attempts at that process. begun in March 2018 and finished in March 2019.
