Here's another one from the December Still Life project.
This time Jim is joined by Mandalay. We acquired Mandalay in Chinatown in KL when we lived in Malaysia in the early nineties. The man in the market said it was called a Mandalay puppet because he came from Burma. While Mandalay was a bit worse for wear and his strings were tangled, that much seems true.
Acrylic paint on oil sketch paper, 61 by 43 centimetres.
